The Peterborough Singers has a tradition of presenting some of Canada’s finest vocal soloists and instrumentalists. These performers make concerts extra special for our audience. The Conductor’s Circle is a way you can support this tradition by directing your gift towards the cost of hiring a specific guest artist.

As a Conductor’s Circle patron your donation of $500 or more will make it possible for a guest artist to perform with the choir. It gives you the opportunity to meet the artist you’re sponsoring, and to select reserved seating in advance of the performance. As well, the Peterborough Singers will acknowledge your generous support of the specific performer on the Conductor’s Circle page of the concert program. (Unless anonymity is preferred.)

Artistic Director Syd Birrell is happy to speak with you about how you’d like to direct your support. Please contact singers@peterboroughsingers.com to find out more. We welcome you to join the Conductor’s Circle!

It was a real pleasure being a Conductor’s Circle patron. I was honoured to help the Singers bring Venabrass to Peterborough for the Yuletide show, and they made a wonderful performance that much more memorable. The Peterborough Singers play such a big role in this community, and I’m very pleased to have been given this opportunity to support them.

Conductor’s Circle Gift 2023
The choir is grateful to the Dunkley family, whose gift to the Conductor’s Circle in memory of Ronald Garth Dunkley (1931–2023) will make it possible for Venabrass to appear as guest artists at the Singers’ annual Yuletide Cheer concert for the next five years. Ron Dunkley was not only a highly regarded mathematician, who was named Member of the Order of Canada for his work in developing mathematics contests, but also a brass player, performing with the Salvation Army Band, the Weston Silver Band, and the University of Waterloo Symphony.
