It’s this Saturday: the free online premiere of the Peterborough Singers and Peterborough Dance Collective performing Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana. Tune in using this link Saturday, May 1 at 7 pm. — we welcome your comments in the live chat during the premiere!

The collaboration marked the first performance of Peterborough Dance Collective, led by Rachel Bemrose. The seed money from that concert helped launch Arts for Awareness, an organization that partners with local charities to raise funds for and awareness of social issues such as mental health. The original performance of Carmina Burana with the Peterborough Dance Collective took place in 2012 and was captured for DVD but has never before been publicly shown.

Our thanks go to Stewart Morrison Insurance, the original sponsors of Carmina Burana, and also to season sponsors Fran Allen & David Tomlinson of Royal LePage.

Following the premiere, catch the performance on the Peterborough Singers YouTube channel, where you’ll also find our recent virtual concerts and The Organ Talks: Syd Birrell Plays and Talks Bach.
