The Canadian Women of Song concert of February 25 was a wonderful celebration, not only of the Canadian women singer-songwriters featured but also of our region’s local musical and comedic talent. The choir is deeply grateful for the help of local media outlets, which publicized the event and provided reviews. A special shout-out goes to media sponsor Oldies 96.7. We also thank Joanne Culley, Clifford Skarstedt, and Rosemary Ganley at the Peterborough Examiner and Lois Tuffin at Peterborough This Week.
Here are three retrospectives about the concert, one a photo essay by Clifford Skarstedt, one an opinion piece by Rosemary Ganley discussing this concert as a way to “create and strengthen our cultural and political reality,” and the other a review with photos by Lois Tuffin. Enjoy!
