A recruiting effort aimed at younger singers is attracting media attention. Just this week, Syd Birrell, artistic director of the Singers, arranged for a humorous YouTube video to be posted as part of a marketing campaign to attract high school and university students to the choir. (A 15-year-old videographer, Colm Burrows, filmed the clip.) Already, has picked up the story.
