When is a Peterborough Singers’ concert not a Peterborough Singers’ concert? When it’s the Un-Concert! The Un-Concert is a lighthearted evening of music showcasing some of the individual and small-group talents of choir members. And, after a two year hiatus, it’s back: Monday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. Murray Street Baptist Church. Tickets for this Peterborough Singers fundraiser are available at the door at the mere cost of ten dollars.

Past editions of the always-eclectic Un-Concert have featured everything from Broadway hits to opera arias to puppet shows and American Sign Language song interpretation.

This year, expect to hear music from the classical and musical theatre worlds performed by soloists, duos and trios, plus comedy, a harpist, and the choir’s own Artistic Director Syd Birrell at the organ.

Of course, if you also wish to come to a “concert concert” we hope you will. Buy tickets — including seasons tickets — on the Peterborough Singers website. Meanwhile, here’s the lineup for the entire 2022-23 season.

Yuletide Cheer:  November 26, 2022
Handel’s Messiah:  December 12, 2022
Back in Full Swing – A Tribute to Big Band & Jazz: February 25, 2023
Verdi Requiem: May 6, 2023

Please note that at this time masks are required in order to attend Peterborough Singers’ performances.
