Mark your calendars! This year, the Peterborough Singers’ annual UnConcert is on Monday, October 29–very close to Halloween! So we have a few fun spooky acts in store for you, as well as some other surprises. I’ve heard rumours that Syd will sing, that a German will perform an Irish tune, and that there will be opportunities for audience participation as well.

As the poster says, the UnConcert is unplugged, uncut, and unveiled, a very informal start to the performing season. It’s also the first chance for the Singers to entertain you this year, with any talent its members want to showcase.  In the past. we’ve had scenes from operas and musical theatre productions, Disney tunes, folk songs, a puppet show, video art, comedy, instrumental ensembles, you name it!

The event is also the choir’s first fundraiser of the year. And at $10 a ticket, it is quite a bargain  All of the profits go directly to the Peterborough Singers for things such as music purchases and performance and rehearsal space rental.

Traditionally, the choir ends the UnConcert by giving the audience a bit of a preview of the delights of the upcoming concert season. Don’t miss out!
