The Peterborough Singers’ performance of Vivaldi’s Gloria and Fauré’s Requiem is coming up fast: Monday, June 13, 7 p.m. Make sure to get your tickets in advance. Although cash-only tickets will be available at the door, seating capacity is limited.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to storm-related issues, the concert will now be held at Emmanuel United Church (534 George St. N., Peterborough). It’s a beautiful venue for this special concert.

Glorious music aside, the concert is also special because all proceeds from ticket sales (and all musician fees) will be donated to three deserving Peterborough charities: the Brock MissionYES Shelter for Youth and Families and Kawartha Food Share.

As to that glorious music — not only will you hear two of the most beautiful works in the choral music repertoire, this performance features some wonderful musicians, including conductor Christine Slevan, well known in Peterborough musical circles. (Among other things she taught music at Peterborough Collegiate and Vocational School from 1992-2012.) Our own Peterborough Singers Artistic Director Syd Birrell will be at the organ. Guest vocalists are soprano Shannon McCracken, bass Jonathan Liebich and choristers from the All Saints Anglican Church choir.

We look forward to making music for you!

All choir members will be masked, and audience members are required to do the same.

While proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the above charities, any additional donations will receive an income tax receipt from the Peterborough Singers.
